Pet Partner Program

Help sponsor a longtime resident dog or cat.

These are dogs and cats that have been up for adoption for at least 7 or more months. Due to their age or "looks" rather than being judged on personality, they are not wanted and have been passed over for adoption. We feel that these unwanted pets deserve a chance at life and we will not put them to sleep just because they cannot find forever homes.

The problem is, each long time resident dog cost about $20 or more a month for Flea and Tick treatment and Heartworm preventative. Each cat is about $10 or more. This doesn’t even take into account the yearly vaccinations or food.

During the warmer months, Heartworm infection is a common occurrence with our incoming rescue animals. Heartworm treatment is not cheap. Other medical expenses are also factored in. If the funds are not available, we will not be able to treat them. That is why sponsors are needed for our long-timers. Each sponsored animal will free up funds to treat new rescues and give them a chance at life.

Of course we would love to find homes for these pets because every space taken by these animals means one space less for a new rescue that could be adopted out more quickly, which is another life saved..

If you can help financially, please send donations with a clear indication of sponsorship and which pet you would like to sponsor.

Those available pets are:

"Chance" After 1-1/2 years with us, CHANCE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

"Cha-Cha" a solid gray female cat about 14 years old who has been with us for almost 5 years... Even after all this time, Cha-Cha is still a sweetheart that loves to be cuddled and will be with us for as long as it takes.

"Hollie" *** ADOPTED *** by her foster home parents.

"Tiny" is a very shy little cat that has been with us for almost two years now. She is very loving with people (volunteers) she knows but gets scared when strangers come in the room, especially loud children. We think she would do good in a quiet home with senior adults.

"Scout"  Black & White Tuxedo male about 1-1/2 years old. He has been with us for over a year now and although he is blind in one eye he is a happy  boy that runs and plays with the other cats without a problem.

"Rufus" *** ADOPTED *** is a German Shepherd / Terrier mix male about 2 years old. This fun loving boy has been with us a year now but hasn't lost his fun-loving ways nor given up hope of finding his forever home. Check out his profile.

"Roxy" *** ADOPTED *** is a Boxer mix female about 2 years old. She has been with us for a year now. She is a playful girl that just loves chasing a ball around the play yard and rough-housing with the other dogs in her play group.

"Chato" *** ADOPTED ***is a  Shar-Pei mix male a little over a  year old now. He's been with us for almost 10 months. His owners abandoned him as a puppy because he was sick. We got him to vets and in just a short time he was back up and running around doing all the puppy things he was supposed to be doing. Chato is a very lovable dog and would make a great family addition.
